Baruch is a school that does an excellent job using technology and new media to make life for their students easier. I am a transfer student that has been to 3 schools all together, and Baruch is the most technologically advanced institution. It's use of programs like blackboard, esims make being a student easier. These programs give us a chance to keep up with classes as well as register for new classes and have the convenience of being in our own home.
If I were to give advice to Baruch in order to make it more advanced in technology and new media I would recommend it create a program that could live stream sporting events online. Baruch athletics is a big part of the college and if there was a way to watch the games online it would be great for the college. It could also create clubs or programs for film or broadcasting. This idea would allow students to attend the sports games in order to stream online. I think it would create new opportunities for people to get involved in Baruch life.
It's evident that Baruch has incorporated technology into its curriculum extensively. Many of the courses use blackboard extensively, and the school almost have a Facebook page for the main departments, though regular updates are needed. I think the live streaming of sporting events online will be done someday since they have already done live streaming with commencement ceremony.
